Description:

Based on the 1813 manuscript “The History of Bugs”, the story Bug's Eye View zooms into the perspective of various insects, offering children a different understanding of the world while giving information about bugs. This story is meant for a young audience, between the ages of 6 and 10. A bug-loving character narrates the story and takes the reader through her backyard, where she finds all kinds of creepy-crawly insects such as ants, beetles, grasshoppers, and butterflies. Shrinking down to the size of a mite, the main character gains a first-hand experience with an insect’s way of life, is taken on whimsical adventures, and learns about bugs, all in her own backyard. Energetic, colorful illustrations show off the close-up world of insects, offering kids another view of the world and reminding them that creepy can be cool.
